In XXXX the Saldanha Karate Centre opened its doors  with X karateka. We have since developed into a Dojo with X karateka actively training.  Sensei Jan Marx obtained his 3rd Dan in 2012 and 4th Dan in 2016. He is also a qualified Krav Maga instructor.

The Langebaan Karate Centre caters for all with the youngest being 5 years and the oldest 70 years of age.  Formal Shotokan karate classes are is offered. Self-defense is presented to the Grade 12 learners at Hopefield High School yearly and Krav Maga to members of the public on request.

Mrs Elsabé (Moose) Marx is the Secretary of the Saldanha Dojo and manages the administrative aspects that make a Dojo function effectively.

We are affiliated to World Shotokan Karate-do Federation with Sensei Hitoshi Kasuya 8th Dan as Chief Instructor and WSKF South Africa with Sensei Michael Dukas 8th Dan as chief instructor.
