[ About ]
We are a World Shotokan Karate-Do Federation (WSKF) Affiliated Dojo, teaching and training under the guidance of the WSKF SA Chief Instructor, Michael Dukas Sensei. We are also affiliated to North West Karate and Karate South Africa, granting us access to WSKF and World Karate Federation approved tournaments.

Our Dojo heads are Stephan and Zilla Steyn Senseis who both have national and international competition experience and are passionate about sharing these experiences with their students. Apart from their karate experience, both have professional qualifications (BPharm and LLB, respectively) enabling them to share other life skills with their students to develop them into the best possible versions of themselves.

We teach and train traditional Shotokan karate to people of all ages (5 years and older) who wish to start karate and develop their self-confidence in a controlled and respected environment. Our teachings and Dojo relationships are based on the five corner stones of Shotokan Karate, i.e. Character, Sincerity, Effort, Etiquette and Self-control.

The Dojo motto is Kazoku, which is Japanese for Family, and we strive towards creating such an environment where everyone can feel safe to express themselves while learning the art of karate and a balanced life style.

Tuesday & Thursdays:

  Kiddies (age 5 and above) to yellow belt: 17:00-17:45
  Juniors (Orange to Purple belt): 17:45-18:30
  Seniors (Red to Black belts) 18:30-19:30
